So, I built the computer I have something like 1.5yrs ago (I'm sure it's all still in the technology forum :P ) and last year I added a blueray burner to it. The downside of having added the blueray is I didn't upgrade my monitor and the blueray won't work without having a HD monitor connected via HDMI. I finally decided it was time to make the plunge and found a SWEET deal on Newegg for this one:
P-IPS ProArt Series Professional Monitor
As excited as I am to get it (should be at the house tomorrow) I'm a little nervous to see how some of the colors look on some other photos I've worked on recently... LOL! I'll be sure to give feedback on it and can't wait to get it hooked up!

I've only had 1 chance to use it so far, should get more time on it over the next few days. So far I HIGHLY recommend this monitor! It is clearer than clear and truly puts colors into perspective. I was right about some of my recent photoshop work... I'm going to have to go back and re-edit some to fix colors that I oversaturated on my old monitor. I honestly can't begin to tell you how amazing this picture is. I'll post a little more information as I get more time on it.

That'd be quite nice. I know that by no means is this the greatest monitor around, but I don't think I could come anywhere close to this quality with anything else under $500. I'm sure I don't have it tweaked out perfectly either, but little-to-no need for adjustment straight out of the box. The Closest that I found to this was the Dell UltraSharp and it's usually at or just over $600.

That is a nice monitor. I need to get a new one myself. I am using a first gen 22 inch lcd acer and the picture quality is crappy.
