What type of security? WEP, WPA, WPA2? Also, what is the name of your SSID? Is it just linksys? Make sure you are not trying to connect to your neighbors wireless because a lot of people have linksys routers with the default wireless name of linksys.

Maybe change the security type to WPA or WEP(i know isnt the best security, but it's better than nothing).
