Ok I have a 97 Jimmy. The 4wd didn't work when I bought it so I have been working on repairing it lately. I have replaced the Vacuum actuator under the battery, the cable going from the actuator to the front axle and the transfer case switch that sits on top of the transfer case. Well this got it working but it slips. When it is in 4wd there is a constant clicking/popping noise coming from the transfer case. Is the transfer case shot? It goes in and out of all ranges just fine it just makes that noise when moving in 4wd. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
