Found this nice little benchmark, it calculates the value of pi and list the time it took. Hit calculate and select 1M for one million, list your time and specs please.
Im just curious how normal PCs stack up, I have seen the numbers on the overclockers forums, and they push like over 4ghz out of there 3ghz procs and hit sub 30s.
Im going to do a before after when I get my new motherboard and all that stuff.

Results:
Custom, Intel Pentium 4HT 3.0GHz running 640MB Ram - 49s (Idle)
Custom 2, Intel Pentium 4HT 3.0GHz running 1GB Ram - 42s
Dell, Intel Pentium 4 at 2.4GHz running 512MB Ram - 1m 13s
HP Laptop, Core 2 Duo @ 1.6GHz, 1GB Ram - 36s

As you can see the Dell performed horribly, worse than my initial value, that I got when encoding a DVD and playing a song in winamp. Im not very flattered by the 49 second without anything hogging resources. I hope all tha new crap helps out.

Yeah, Im gonna host it on my site, some reason invision doesnt like it as a zip. I just realized something, I had a 512 stick of pc3200 and a 128 stick of pc2700. I removed the 128 Pc2700 (I didnt realize it was a different speed) and I actually dropped two seconds off the time.

I have 32 processes running, aim included, as well as a mysql and apache server, its a PITA to shut them down so I dont bother lol. They restart by themselves.

ok, i decided that I wanted to see what it would do if I had a lot less running and that actually made it slower... I tried several times and did several restarts and sometimes ended programs and sometimes didn't... consistently 58sec.
