Since the theme of this thread is to not become a pirate, it should also be known that although the DVD Decrypter software is free, it is illegal to use in the United States under the Digital Millenium Copyright Act, in case anyone was curious about such things.

Although, I have heard from someone that it is a fairly effective program. wink.gif

Why? Does me copying a movie I bought onto my computer keep hollywood from making a buck??? Grrrr....

If your intent is to distribute said copy then yes. But even if you don't who is to say that others won't. I think thats the thinking behind the law. Since not everyone will have the most honerable intentions.

If I spent 150 bucks on a DVD box set you better be damn sure that I am going to make a copy incase something happens to the DVD itself. But I wouldn't be speading copies around the net *shrugs*




BTW. I have tired a few things on the list. Very nice.

for a handy audio converter, i suggest DV Power Amp, there's a free version and a paid version and they can convert various formats, you can even extract the audio from video files.
